Weight loss, Weight loss tips, Fast Weight Loss versus God's perspective on Weight Loss

One of the most searched terms in Google are the phrases: weight loss, weight loss tips, best weight loss program, and our favorite: Fast Weight Loss!!!

In fact: it is searched for an average of 50 000 times a day!!!

There are a lot of unhappy, fat people out there! Been unhappy with ourselves is often expressed in our dissatisfaction with our weight, and that can lead us into a bondage. We often relate our success, acceptance; failures directly to our weight loss, weight gain, cheating.

Weight Loss, Need fast weight loss tips
Most of us feel like this
when we climb on a scale
As someone who has battled with weight problems since my pregnancies, I determined in my heart that there had to be a Godly solution to the problem! I would feel unworthy to minister the gospel because I don't look like Jennifer Aniston, but then again I don't exercise and eat like Jennifer Aniston! I would feel like I've accomplished the world when I loose 10kg's and feel like the world's biggest failure putting it all back again.
God made it very simple for me. He asked me if I thought He had a plan for my life. "Yes" was my automatic reply. Next question was "if the plan for your life is this 100% (Let's say 100% for sake of fullness and perfection), if you fulfill My life's plan for you by 90%, would you be accomplishing all I wanted you to do?"
NO
"What is stopping you from doing it?"
Very careful consideration went into answering this question.
"And what happens if I planned for you to live to 80, but you die of a heart attack at 60 because you are too overweight?". God responded.
Suddenly, I was able to see weight loss through God's eyes. It had nothing to do with what I looked like, what I eat, how much I exercised or what figures the scale threw back at me. It had to do with me been physically capable of doing and executing what God has asked me to do in my life.
So my focus should always be my prize at the end of my race when I get to heaven.
If it is my best friend’s birthday and I want to have a piece of birthday cake with her, I can now do it without feeling guilty. As long as I am able to display the fruits of the spirit after the food I've eaten, I am still in God's plan. What do I mean? Many of us react to sugar, processed wheats, stimulants etc in our food etc and we often become grumpy, irritable or even sick from the types of food we’ve eaten. So, the general rule now becomes, I need to remain a reflection of God’s glory after the food I’ve eaten. No snapping at people, no offish attitudes, no lethargy etc.
Eating in moderation is good. Eating healthy choices are good as it all helps me fulfill God's 100% plan for my life. Not exercising ensures I do not fulfill God's plan for my life.
Excersing
Exercise for the Godly reason
But, excessive exercising replaces my acceptance into God's family and makes me put my acceptance and accomplishments in my looks. We all like pretty and beautiful, but the only perfection we should be striving for, is reflecting God.
If I am an excessive exerciser, dieter or eater, am I fulfilling a void in my life, because both scenarios are sin. The one is not more “right” or “godly” than the other. All scenarios are replacing a void in my life because they are all rooted in an addiction.
So now:
If you are overweight, really be honest with yourself and admit why. Find your answer in the Word of God.
Let's talk straight to God and each one of us get to a place where we can get to a lifestyle where I can reach all God has planned for me.
For some of us it might mean going through a lot of forgiving of others, because in doing that, we also set ourselves free.
Doing it God's way means when I make a mistake, I have not failed.
Rom 8v1: There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit
The new me
Can I truelly become the Woman God
wants Me to be?
A simple prayer of repentance gets me on the right path and I keep going with my eyes focussed on My Race, My prize. My eyes won't be focussed on the scale or on the size 00 model in the magazine.
It means, I plan my exercise, I plan my eating habits, and I have the strength to change the bad ones so that I can stand before God one day and He say to me: Well done Good and faithful servant! You have done all I have asked you to do!
For some of us: It means we need to start exercising our NO!
There is a Godly me trying to come out!
Be Blessed!!!

Supernatural (Part 1): THE RICH YOUNG RULER

Luke 18:18-23
18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
19 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.
20 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.
21 And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.
22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.
23 And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.
The same story can be found in Matt 19 v 16 - 29; Mark 10 v 17 - 30

As Part 1 of the Supernatural series, I've chosen this passage of scripture to start prodding your Spirit. Many times when we read the Bible, it is treated as a prescribed reading book at school. I read what I need to enabling me to answer the test /exam questions that follow. Please read the passage with the following intent in your heart: "Holy Spirit, please show me during the next month what my attitude towards money, riches and giving is"

The 1st points I would like you to consider is:
  • If I was the rich young ruler, would I have gone and sold all my possessions and given the money to the poor.
  • How easy would it have been for me to obey Jesus command, or would I have become sorrowful.
Some other points of consideration:
  • How do I feel and respond when someone around me is blessed.
  • When I need something, is my first thought "Oh no, now I have to spend more money"
  • When someone asks for something, what is your first thought.
  • Have you ever looked at something that you have needed and wanted, but in your heart accepted the fact that you will never have it.
  • How do you feel about giving to a beggar, to an orphanage, to a church, to individuals.
  • Have you ever confessed "money does not grow on trees".
  • Do you go to work only so that you can earn a salary at the end of the month.
  • Would you get up in the morning and go to work if no one paid you.
  • Have you ever received any money over and above your paycheck.
  • Are you a cheerful giver.
  • In your heart, if I gave you a million rand cheque today, would your 1st response be that all your problems are now solved.
  • What one thing in your life do you need right now that would solve all or most of your problems.
  • How much seed do I really have in the ground.
  • If I have an unexpected expense, do I trust God to provide.
  • Have I ever done spiritual warfare to claim back what the devil has stolen from me.
  • Do I know what the devil has stolen from me.
These points may seem strange and somehow not connected at all to the supernatural. But I have my perspective on the supernatural which does not include some of the standard "supernatural" ideas. I am going to be posting a couple of thought provoking posts to encourage the beautiful believers reading these posts to just start a different thought pattern. The Holy Spirit takes you on a wonderful journey once you open your spirit for instruction and education by the Holy Spirit. Everybody's journey is different. Revelations are not the same. We all have them at different times regarding different topics resulting in different outcomes. But it is the same Holy Spirit, it is us that are different, not the Holy Spirit.
To me the supernatural is not about finance, but we as people only consider been blessed when we receive money. By the end of the series, I will bring the "money" into context into the supernatural - in the context that I see it. I will be dealing with various issues such as justice, healing, education, government, churches and employment. I will be taking each issue and sharing my supernatural theories.
This part is not part of the Supernatural teaching, but I liked the pictures I found, so I included it for the pictures :-D
Luke 18:24-25:
24 And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
25 For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
