BRINGING BACK PERSPECTIVE

Don't loose perspective! "The devil is attacking me" comes so easy out of our mouths. For every devil that comes against you, there are 2 angels waiting to minister to you. All you need is to Confess God's word and they will go into action on your behalf.

THE REASON I LIVE

I live because I praise Him!

EMBRACE YOUR DESERT!

Our desert experiences to our natural mind are never a good experience. If we understand our desert experience, it helps us to embrace it and go through it with grace.

Not much is written in the Bible regarding the time of Jesus between 13-30 years of age, but Luke 2 gives us a clue.

Luke 2:52
52      And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.

Theologians agree that Jesus spent this time studying the Word, basically becoming a Bible scholar. After his 17 years of studying the Word, Jesus was baptised by John the Baptist and according to

Matt 4:1
“Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.”

David knew the Lord well as is established from various Psalms. While David was in the desert, he killed the lion and the bear.

Our time in the desert is for us to get grounded in our trust in God. Both Jesus and David practiced (or phrased different) exercised their faith and spiritual authority in the desert where no one saw. They both came out of the desert walking in power, authority and ability.

God takes us to the desert for the following reasons:
1.   To protect us and our walk in Faith (see Ex 13:17 &18).
2.   To teach us to totally depend on Him. The only way we depend on Him in the desert, is by starting to learn to walk in the Word that we have been taught prior to going to the desert.

Exod 13:17-18
17 Then it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, "Lest perhaps the people change their minds when they see war, and return to Egypt."
18 So God led the people around by way of the wilderness of the Red Sea. And the children of Israel went up in orderly ranks out of the land of Egypt.

God lead us into the desert so that He becomes a reality to us (not us to Him, we need to know that we can depend on God) and so that we do not “go back to Egypt”, basically go back to our old ways of doing things.

In the desert, our lives change from learning the Word, to Walking in the Word. Basically, your walk now starts to match your talk. It all becomes heart knowledge and not just head knowledge anymore.

Overcoming in the desert is critical to our future walk with God. It is only after we have learnt to walk in the Spirit, that we can actually start taking on the real demonic enemies (not only in our lives, but also in the lives of all around us) that lie ahead of us in our walk with Jesus on earth.

Only after you have overcome in the desert, are you able to inhabit and live in your Promised Land.
When we walk in the Spirit, we need to KNOW THAT WE CAN TRUST GOD AT HIS WORD!
Embrace your desert and when you do not know what to do next whilst in your desert, stay faithful in doing well for in due season you will reap & confess God’s promises over you and your future.
Do not let any negativity come out of your mouth!
